All I'm saying is, Tarja was good, but Nightwish wanted something new! @MrCecilus :) ok yes dude I respect what you said. We all have our opinions right? Yes classically-trained vocalists usually have a powerful voice, and it is ok to call it "symphonic power metal" but I think its Marco's job to help make it "symphonic power metal" ;) his aggression in ghost river, wow... Anette on the other hand, may not have the classically trained voice but she is more on rock side. So it fits all in the end.

Idk why people say Anette should go sing pop, she has potential to sing whatever she wants. Pop is a genre (Pop short for popular) not specific vocals. both anette and tarja, and whoever else is welcome to sing symphonic metal, that genre is open. You dont necessarily need the suited voice to sing in symphonic metal.
