Please. John Wooden doesn't even touch on Bobby Knight's brilliance. Wooden won all those games and championships because he consistently had the most dominating players in college basketball. I mean, Alcindor and Big Red are both easily in the Top Ten NCAA players of all-time. Bobby actually COACHED, whereas Wooden just let the players do their thing. Knight preached perfection and could've made any bad team great (as evidenced by Texas Tech). Wooden would've been nothing without the players.

Your full of shit purdue won a national championship with John Wooden in 1932. Purdue leads the overall series versus IU 107-84 and it looks like that number will just grow and grow because IU wont crack the top half of the big ten race in the next 5 years. Check out the Boilers in the preseason polls!

Considering the NCAA didn't acknowledge a National Champ until 1939, ANYONE can claim to be the '32 champs. Nice try larryhon.
Sure IU will struggle this season, but you can count on them being back in the Big Ten's top 3 by 2011.
Congrats on your meaningless preseason accolades.

Purdue was VOTED National Champions in 1932. Other than that, how many have they won? Oh right, zero. IU has how many? Oh right, five. Three under Bobby Knight, the greatest basketball coach ever. So yeah, Purdue may lead IU in the overall series, but I think Indiana has proven themselves better in the long run.

Also, we never had a coach named Piggy.

Please don't punish the state of Indiana just because purdue hasn't won anything!
