The Iraq War: Legal or Illegal?

Back

Pinky wants some answers: Is the U.S.-led invasion and occupation of Iraq legal or illegal? Do any of the charges of illegality we've been hearing about have any legal basis at all? And why should we even care about international law anyway? Pinky and friends do the research and then tell you all the answers! For more information visit: http://www.pinkyshow.org/

johninva, Your math is wrong. 25 million population in Iraq minus 1.4 million dead would be 23.5 million left. There are also 4 million refugees, currently living in Jordan, Syria and other countries, so yes, the country is a little emptier. Do you remember the first campaign of "Shock and Awe" where the residential areas in Bagdad were carpet boombed? That level of carnage never stopped, whatever the corporate-owned media states. Multiply shock and awe by 5 years............

I disagree, johninva, about Africa. Exxon is currently running Africans off their land and poluting everything there. Africans starving, sitting next to pipelines.... Yes, of course the local government is involved, but I don't think countries like this have a choice when big corporations come calling. It's like saying no to the biggest Mafia in the world. And again, the common people suffer. The US is a land of opportunity, but at the expense of the rest of the world.

I love this retarded cat pinky. She makes me laugh at all you stupid liberals who respond to her child like way of speaking. She knows that she has to speak down to all you liberal so that you can understand what she is saying. Another good example of the liberal dumming of the America's educational system. Go communism....

I choose not to hate my country. For all it's warts it has been a beacon of opportunity for many people. Ask any black person, in America, if they want to go back to Africa. Even if they won't tell you, they would not want to go because it sucks there. Egnorance, corruption, and violance rules there. This is the main reason Africa stays in poverty, not because of previous colonial rule.

Iraq war for oil? Legal or Illegal? What Russia is doing in Georgia and South Ossetia is the same. Control over oil pipe lines? Russia's war, is it legal or Illegal? You hypocrits retards. Liberalism is a mental disorder because you choose to hate yourselve when, in fact, both side are pretty much the same.

wolver wino If America killed over 1.5 million civilian in Iraq I would be very suprised. 25 million in Iraq, 4 million left, and saddam killed...how many?. There must be no one left in Iraq. I'm in the military and I find this a fictious firgue designed to make the American service member look like a criminal. Go fu*k yourseld and your made up estimate. Just because someone says it does not make it true. Your liberal minion take this paplum like medicine.

johninva123, I find it significant that I knew that The Lancet was the source of that estimate, based upon a sophisticated system of statistical extrapolation, and you didn't -- this supports my abiding contention that you are afflicted with Crimestop. Parenthetically, I should remark that I don't think that it is possible to "dumb-down" an educational system enough to accommodate those, like yourself, who only respond to light and moisture.

411cash, One solution would be to develop alternative energy sources so that we are no longer dependent on foreign oil, or even oil, period. Your spiel sounds like a justification for a preventive war on Iran next -- this is the McCain agenda, and it is why McCain has started to hint at supporting a return to the Draft -- you can't fight unnecessary wars without the reliable source of cannon-fodder provided by a blank check on the nation's manpower. Your kids will come home in boxes, however.
