where would the competition be in having a show with real dancers? and there are real dancers who teach others to...cant you appreciate how some of them go from never moving a step to full routines in a week? thats why ppl watch, i watch it but i dont watch im a celebrity and all that crap so dont tie us all with the same brush and watch something else to your taste

Squiffy; You make my point beautifully. The British public cannot appreciate artistry or great skill for it's own sake, it has to be "dumbed down" to a tacky competition featuring people who are actually not very good, so that it doesn't exceed Joe public's attention span. Who would watch it if it were real experts purely demonstrating their art. Not you evidently. Watch out for "Celebrity Heart Op". Ten newsreaders compete to see who can perform the best triple bypass. You'll LOVE it.

yes but i appreciate art, i love to visit the galleries, i go to the theatre but i 'still' enjoy strictly, it is allowed to enjoy a not so serious show sometimes. unfortunately i do enjoy the celebrity culture we have today, i read heat magazine, but only because i like to see what they are wearing not necessarily cos i wanna know what time they took a shit. im just a very observant person.

i think programmes like big brother where they exploit everyday people are far worse.

Sqiffy, You're right. It IS unfortunate that you enjoy today's celebrity culture. However, look on the bright side, at least you read Heat magazine, that's only one step away from writing a novel!

lol but i enjoy it, i still read books, you have to have something upstairs to understand pratchett, very funny too. as for celebrity culture, being a poor girl from a working class family i just like to see how the other half live whether i think they are tossers or not. i dont idolise any of them. and i dont have role models so im not the typical glossy mag reader i spose.

Why is it that this god-awful programme is given free advertising in the press and on so many BBC programmes? Why are licence payers having this shite rammed down their throats when many don't want to hear anything about it? Get this - some of us do not choose to watch it and we do not want to hear, on a daily basis, a running commentary about what is going on in it.

I have never watched this banal shit, but it would still amuse me to know the worst of the remaining idiots had won the show. What next? "Celebrity Heart Op"? Train a rugby player or a weathergirl for a week then let them perform a triple bypass. J.S. is a GENIUS. He now has the affection of 99% of the viewing public and at the same time has rendered the show a pointless charade. Whoever wins the remainder of this fiasco now is a charlatan. IN THE NAME OF THE SARGE, VOTE FOR THE JUDGES WORST.
