I think they are too busy properly adapting to an economic down turn instead of bitching at the government to step in and save their sorry asses. We should also strap electro magnets to Ayn Rand's grave. What a world we live in where both Che Guevera and Ayn Rand can find equal amounts of disgust at the current economic situation. I recall the fight over the Confederate flag that was going on in 2000, where they say "This is heritage, not hate. It has nothing to do with race." That's bullshit. At the same time they're essentially defending white supremacy and deny race has anything to do with it. Their trying to be clever and two-faced. Not all white southerners are in the Neo-Confederate movement, but there are enough of them involved.

The whole root of the Civil War was that the South's economic system was based upon plantation slavery. Some white southerners who are involved with the new neo-Confederate movement thats spreading in the south today mock what they call political correctness and yet their first goals are to whitewash the Confederacy of any connection with slavery. They get sensitive to any possibility that the Confederacy is connected with race and want to be pardoned of any charges of racism at all.
