As long as I want to continue to listen to their music, I don't care whether they are considered mainstream or are "deviating from their roots." VV's voice just sounds a bit distant throughout Midnight Boom. The album is still quality regardless.

There is all this about The Kills becoming mainstream and i haven't had any of it until i saw they were playing at Glastonbury Festival; its not necessarily a bad thing - i still think The Kills are one of the best bands in history its just that its kind of contradicted everything they always talked about in the beginning of their courier. There new album kicks ass too but its not the usual grimey rock n roll that i loved about them.

mtv plays every fucking band they can get their hands on. (i heard they even played no age once) but the ones they actually promote are shit. and that's why mtv is a horrible channel for music. besides, the average mtv fan only likes "OMGSH JONAS BROTHERS", fall out boizzz, and rihannaahhhh. so yeah...i don't think they're really that mainstream.
