Can you say raw in the middle and soggy buns? Burgers are supposed to be thin, more surface area that way and less middle to cook through to. If you want more meat, put more patties on the burger. And stop worrying about the 'juices'. Looking at it the wrong way won't make it lose all of them, and neither will asking it nicely make it keep them. The heat alone sears/boils all of the juices on the surface away.

Thin burgers? Are you kidding? There's nothing better than a big, fat, juicy burger.
