When Louis Armstrong band was touring South America (late 50.s) Ed Hall recorded a few themes with an Argentinian trio(Ruben Lopez Furst, piano;Horacio Malvichino, guitar;Baby Lopez Furst, drums)and they are great,Ed souded really good. I had those records but unfotunely they were lost while moving. I like Condon`s band very much and both Ed and Wild Bill sond terrific. Thanks

I lived and worked minutes from the original Condon's on W.3rd St.& I was a regular attende. This was a mid '50's group appearing on the Kate Smith TV program. She was a Dixie buff. She also had Phil Napoleon regularly, my clarinet teacher was Napoleon's clarinettist, Sal Pace. Any other info I can be of help please contact.......Sonny (Gene)

Hello everyone, thanks very much for your comments, sorry for not responding sooner, as I see most questions have already been answered.
The combo here plays at Eddie Condon's club in New York City, most likely around 1952, since that was the line-up Condon used at that time (according to the Edmond Hall autobiography), he played with Condon until 1955 then Joined Louis Armstrong's All Stars. This band here was only "beat" by Armstrong's All Stars from 1955-58. Can't get much better than that.

Great to see and hear! A pity that Hall's solos are so short, but they're perfectly constructed and swing so well. Davidson really grabs a hold of the group and leads, doesn't he!
