thank god yes turned him down..he wasent good enough!!BWAHAHAH..gave him time to reflect on his suckiness and then He went on to create The Most Famous and Influental Rock Band the world had and still has ever seen.... LED ZEPPELIN...say what you will about jp but his "weird out there" sound created the greatest rock and roll ever recorded and his sound changed the face of rock music forever.. Yes did the rock and roll world a favor and for that I am ever greatful that YES said NO

what the hell are you two talking about, the only thing BillyMac Q got wrong was the fact that its obviously a woman crush on jeff beck. they are virtually the same solo, and the studio version hardly displayed any of beck's virtousity in the first place.

That guitar solo is wierd like he is using wrong scale or something... Anyway it sounds good.

yeah but some times the one annoying person may only be annoying to one person in the band, and then the other one's want him to be, thats kinda hard, but I guess thats not how the yardbird broke I dunno... ;)

--bands split sometimes just because they've outgrown each other--but i never knew of one to actually split just because of one rouge bandmate.[usually the rebel bandmate gets the boot]--then the band moves on. YES didn't want JP because the bass-player actually said his guitar-style was too OUT THERE. it was all business. they didn't even know JP's personality. [or if he even had one]. in this clip JP is flatter than a pancake--just listen. don't be so one-dimensional. pass the syrup plz.

You're saying because of the Bass player, JP didn't get the job? The other band members didn't notice the SAME "out there" playing and were willing to accept him?? Sounds "lame" to me.....

--not really a YES fan, but i know jp's rejection was a unanimous call among ALL the members of the band. bass-player, [chris squire] just relayed the story. ASK A YES fan. they will know the details.
