A nice surprise to find one of these in the attic or desk drawer!
In the long run, the worth will certainly rise, but in the short run, with a major economic downturn in the works, the value may well decrease. My advice is to 'search your heart' :) if you enjoy the Curta then keep it for the long run, if it's merely a potential investment, I'd recommend selling it. Good luck!

I recently found out that I own a Curta Type I from Juni 1968 (No. 71257) in excellent condition.
Shall I sell it or would it be better to keep it for a while and sell it in some years later? Will its worth increase a lot in the future?
Please answer, I would love to hear your advices!

What he did only took a few seconds. The explanation took longer than a pencil.A real comparison would involve a 15 digit number.
And Jedi, it adds. All other functions depend on the users knowledge of their relation to addition. google jan's curta simulator to have fun with one for free!

maybe for idiots like you that dont have to do repetitive maths where accuracy is critical. surveying requires that and this was once a critical tool. my old boss had one and it was just as useful as our programmable calculators for doing calcs when teamed with your standard tables for doing trig etc.
