Could be worse, I moved from County Durham to Lincoln and found even less people talk to you and all the blokes sit down for a piss ; )

Accrington. Imagine how disapointed I was, coming from Stanley Co Durham, that they mentioned a Stanley 120 miles SOUTH of us. Bastards. Astounding track, their very best. The long version is a epic rollercoaster of grey drizzle; made me proud to be pennyless and freezing my arse off in an ex mining town on the side of a windy hill. Mind you, nine years later I moved just 150 miles down the country and quadrupled my wages.

No offense to you personally but thats pretty ignorent. Is there a differance between northern states in america and southern states? Is there a diffence between the Israeli parts of israel and the palistinian parts? There can be huge differences in people even in small countrys such as England and Israel.

Thank you for that analogy, but it was in not really what I was asking; I wanted to know if they were *that* different, implying that I knew there was a difference between the two. I just wanted to know how different they really were. Also, no offense, but the words are spelled: "Ignorant, difference, and Palestinian." (I let the 's on "that's" slide.)

Thank you for pointing out the pointing out my spelling mistakes. I could call it picky or unneeded but we learn from our mistakes. Your question about the difference will take a little explanation about English history. pre 19th centuary there was very little population in the north of England, most of the population was centered around the rural farming areas of the south and London. When the industrial revolution started big port citys (think Liverpool etc) popped up and people came to work.

The south, stayed as mainly rural "peasant" communitys while the north became proletariat, communitys. In the south you would find the "Aristocratic" wealthy land owners who had lots of power in government. The northern, "middle class" (factory owners) had money, but almost no governmental power. However the proletariat workers vastly outnumbered most other people and were very badly oppressed. Consequently they had resentment for the precieved rich south. This was returned by the south peasants
