Clapton's guitar solo on the 1968 Cream hit "Strange Brew" from the album Disraeli Gears is a close emulation of King's solo on his Stax Records hit "Oh, Pretty Woman". On one of the nights, when Hendrix appeared on stage, the first thing he said was, "Yeah, Albert King. I dig him." Then he proceeded to play some of Albert's licks as an homage.

My advice to a younger generation of blues players would be to learn as much of his music as you can.I attribute much of my style to him.Though I cant play just like him,he deffinatley helped me find my style.

he also uses an mxr 90 phaser turned to the slowest speed, which does cool things when he bends the strings.

I was so scared of this guy as a child. He would always come by to see my grandpa when he came thru Memphis. We would always refer to him as The Big Guitar Man with the scar on his face" Little did i know he was AlBert King and that i would grow up to play just like him. God Bless You for posting this video!!!!!!

And I wont stop playing the blues. It's a damn fine (and probably the only) way to express certain things.
