I agree with bggrgg13,Rakim is one of the best lyrical mc ever,bottum line.Rakim is a pioneer to the game thats why real artist pay respect, without Rakim there be no Biggie,jay-z,Nas or Tupac

It kills me when i see you guys talk about who is the most lyrical rapper of all time and yall are listening to him, Biggie can't see Rakim and niether can my dude Jay z or Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Nas or anyone else you speak about not even 2Pac bcuz they all idolized this cat- Rakim is the most gangsta, most hustlin, most influential emcee of all time and especially in NY so check your history and just ask Diddy, Jay, Nas or whoever and they'll tell ya.

i got to repost, rakim is not my favorite, i like early kr and boogie. quick style rakim and koolg the best at it, but rakim is the hardest most talented ever, ask DRE.
