Just today I saw Jack Penate on YouTube for the first time. Yeah, his music sure is catchy and hummable. And there is a well-established market for that. And there also seems to be a well-established market for his fashion sense. On most of his vids, there are comments on what he's wearing ("where can I get that hat?", or "what kind of boots are those?", etc.) It all seems so trite. The musical style (NOT lyrical content) is derivative of The Jam. But they were better. And original.
