BackThis bust of a Harp player is in unrestored but working condition. Dating from 1880, she was made in Paris by Gustave Vichy. She is one of my favourite automata, just as she is. www.automatomania.com

There's something adorable yet creepy about this automata. It's great, though--and I have to say, though I'm sure she'd look fantastic if restored, there's just such charm she has as she is.

i love this, it looks like quite a mechanism driving that.
there was an automaton in brighton lanes i used to see as a child, an old lady riding a bike. thats something id love to find.
out of interest how much would an automaton like this set you back?
