70,000 rpm golf ball
BackTaking compressed air and spinning a titleist golf ball 70,000 rpm. watch for it, but its there. The loud noise at the end is the ball. We used an actual optical tachometer. Speed calculated out to be 270 mph.

by the way, it sounds like an air raid siren, especially towards the end, which makes it even scarier! Maybe thats what they really heard during WWII... its what the Germans used to kill off the Jews! Spinning golf balls!! No wonder why that sound is so terrifying!! :)

wouldn't matter much at 70.000 rpm. The equator is going 600 km/h, it'd be a blur anyway.

it doesnt read the dimples. a reflective piece of tape on the ball is required for the tach to work.
