cont. them from life's hard lessons. I would rather have a teen going into this world educated about how to do this saftly, then have a teen going out ignorant of the world around them. Sex is a beautiful, natural thing that is going to happen to them at some point in there're lives anyway, would'nt u rather have them educated on the subject. Makeing your children sheltered, and hiding them from the natural things of this world may seem like it helps, but in all actuality it does more harm than

Look the point is teens are going to have sex, maybe some teens will abstain, but most of the time u will find teens will have sex it's just a natural part of human nature. To try to abstain all teens from sex, is like trying to abstain all adults from drinking alcohol, its just not going to happen. Why not have classes that teach how to have sex saftly, and to teach teens how to do it responsibly, instead of sheilding from the natural things of this world, u won't always be there to sheild

Um, I hate to brake it to you but we are animals, we have the natural eurge to wont to procreate. Yes I'm virgin, not because religion tells me to be, i'm not going to wate till i'm marred. I'm a actualy a moral person, I treat girls with respect and I will wate when shes ready. I dont have to be a christian to be a moral person!!!

Abstinence education does work. Simply because the specific programs studied may not have worked doesn't mean abstinence education doesn't work. Dr Jemmott had a randomized study done and the abstinence only education proved more effective than "safer" sex education. The problem is we live in a mass immoral culture that degrades people and defines them as instinctual animals; sex, then, become mere instinct and you can see the results - increased STD and teen pregnancy rates. Nice work sex ed.

Stop deluding yourself. It isn't about our culture, it's about science. Humans are animals..plain and simple. We have a drive to procreate. What we need to do is educate our children on practicing safe sex. Of course we don't want them to have sex but it's better to properly educate. That way we don't have CHRISTIAN kids of Christian parents dumping fetus's in dumpsters.

Humans aren't animals slaves to their hormones. We have discipline, morality, dignity, self respect unlike animals who have sex simply out of instinct. Most of the sex people have in this society is not for procreation but recreation, and many have it also because they think they have to, for validation lest they be called "losers" or virgins.

We aren't "slaves" to our hormones but without proper education we do stupid things. There are people in this country who don't know what condoms are. People don't just have sex because they are called virgins and your right they do it out of recreation. There is nothing wrong with that either as long as you are smart about it. Morality is based on the individuals opinion.

People have recreational sex because they're programmed to do so by an immoral mass culture. People have come to see themselves as nothing but instinctual animals, as nothing but sex objects & sex as meaningless & without consequences. But if you sleep around, you are degrading & devaluing yourself & you're immoral.The myth is you sleep around & problems go away, but hey don't. We shouldn't be teaching kids about sex but about self respect & the true value and purpose of sex (procreation & love)
