Back




By request, here is the full version of the 1997 Boston Macworld expo where we see Steve Jobs for the first time since returning to work for Apple after being gone since 1985. This was a very historic time for Apple because they were almost bankrupt at the time, so Steve announces a temporary partnership with Microsoft to a very hostile crowd. Bill Gates also makes an appearance.

25:20 "We're going to be doing other things" Steve wasn't kidding. I'm not an Apple fanboy and I'm not a Microsoft fanboy. But truth be told, Coke needs Pepsi and vice versa Apple needs Microsoft and vice versa. The two companies need each other or the whole industry goes to Hades.

That's the power of public presentation skills of Steve. He had said that he will fire some people, that he will make a deal with m$ and still... At the end of his presentation, everyone was cheering.
