cats have their own way of responding to us all. Back when I lived with my sister we would get in huge arguements and most of the cats we had would start meowing almost as if to say please stop. When things would settle down some would go to her room some would go to mine(we adopted 5 wild cats in our apartment complex, started by leaving food on the porch). If I or she was crying or really mad they wouldn't stop meowing till we picked them up and they would lick us(arms, face on chin etc.).
