I believe no matter if the comment of deer or near unicorn exisits, that these special creature deserve the chance to flourish, finally something good to comment on.so what if they are not unicorns and are only a ghostly white deer,my heart is set on the wildlife preservation area.

Of course it wouldn't becuase deer are closer related, antelope are closer still, have you ever seen a horse with a horn, cloven hooves and a tassle tail? Now think have you seen an antelope with those characteristicts? Of course you have!

Are you arguing the phenotype relations of a mythical creature? I've never seen a drawing of a unicorn that resembles a deer, and besiides, they are all ungulates anyways. The fact that the species is non-existant disclaims any legitimate conjecture, so it is all opinion based. In my opinion, a white horse is more like a unicorn than a white deer.

your right, it doesn't really matter, at the time I thought it was a silly question, becuase at 20 I'm quite surprised you havn't seen a picture of a unicorn like that, when most of the ones I see are, with a few horse-like ones around as well, Perhaps I thought too much that people of other countries would associate the same word with the same creature, perhaps it is that the west think of unicorns as equine whilst the east think of unicorns as antelopine.

Oh, I wasn't aware there was an actual different rendition of unicorns from different parts of the world.
Scarlohara (Wednesday 20th of August 2008 04:30:21 AM)
Neither did I, it's just a theory I came up with to explain why we think of them so different.
