This is just a classic example of the British lifestyle. Get up, pissed off, have a mouth full off the partner, late for work, try too hard with the boss, go to the pub, get drunk and end up looking like a idiot. When you miss a part of the cycle, things start to go astray.

strange how everyone was scared of that eye part with the strange music - so was I! but this is definitely one of the best Aardman short films...especially the bar scene

Man, this is insane! I love it! Where all Aardman anims this crazy before 2000, coz Stage Fright's pretty weird too.
