yes and Iranians call it khash khash it is used in west also "poppy seeds" in bakery .... it is very nutrition just search it in Wikipedia

Anyone should be able to harvest and use opium not just cancer patients.What a person chooses to do with his or her own body is their own right.Maybe if more people would start standing up to the SS oh I mean dea we might have those rights.

Through that process the seeds get saturated and the morphine alkaloid is whats saturated from those seeds and alot of people now are doing that because they discovered a legal way of getting high without getting in trouble with the law since those same exact papaver somniferum seeds are sold in some stores .

To Paddyiron-I was gonna ask you did you get that information from watching that video on poppy seed tea with those kids that bought a few bottles of the seeds and added 300 grams inside the 2 liter soda bottle and then they added warm water and shook it for 15 min and then lit it sit for an hour and then shook it again for 15 min and then poured the liquid inside a cup through a filter and put the seeds in a towel and drained the remaining from the seeds into the cup .

They are legal to grow, you just can't harvest the actualy raw opium from the pod . I think that people who have cancer and want to harvest the opium should be allowed to being that it has medicinal benefits to it, so therefore those people should be given special licenses to harvest the opium because some people suffer from cancer that causes pain and the opium can help that person with controlling there pain

That would never happen because the pharmaceutical companies and the DEA would no longer have control over it. They want to be the ones who sell it to you.
