That's why I've so far been not that interested in WCS, because I couldn't feel the music in it. Guess I'd just need to learn some more & keep my eyes open for some WCS musicality lessons.

West Coast Swing looks to me most of the time as if they were dancing "despite" the music, that is ignoring what the music does, just taking the base beat and doing patterns.
I was about to comment on that, but at the very end they really are dancing to the music, and when you watch it a second time, it becomes visible in some more places.

This is a reall great clip and one of my favs. Tess really challenges and brings out the best in Ben. Imo Tess is the best follower on the pro circuit today. This clip so inspires me to work on my lead skills. Keep posting guyz. Brill!!

What Tessa does really well is that her dancing always tells a story, now granted...the story is usually sexy smokin' hot, but it tells a story. Ben's strength is that he is flexible enough to work with wildly disparate styles of dance and look comfortable with most all of them. (besides the obvious fact that they are both just plain old amazing dancers)....
