the whole copywrite infringement thing is based on bandwidth usage. if one would simply put all "pirated" stuff on an external and not directly on the PC no one will go anywhere with the acception of pirate bay on occasion

What about your IP address? If they want to, they can show up at your front door and arrest you. My friend got a cease and desist warning from Universal Music because they caught him downloading.

Yes, it is, but you're anonymous, and the youtube guys have better things to do than crack down on literally millions of these music videos. The worst that can happen is that they will ban your account.

I'm wondering whether to put up some music on youtube(I know loads of people do) , is it breach of copywirght, if it is what is the punishment and can you realistically be caught/prosecuted.Thanks for answering.
