No matter how quick the bullet is traveling everything comes into affect. humidity, the spin of the earth, gravity. Anything could have changed you not hitting that deer. All i have to say is nice shooting!

a 338 is a fucking monster of a gun and its bullets are very strong they START at 200 grains. And as fire ball said it would take about a second to reach 950 yards and if you count it was just about a second

BS, the video has the deer falling instantly after the shot, it would take the bullet several seconds to get that far, theres no way that was at 950 yards.

crash course in ballistics, different calibers have different speeds, these guys have made a custom ammo type that reloaders can make them selves but have to order these guns, its a 338 which is a potent bullet no matter the speed, but when these were made, they were paired with a 300 Remington ultra magnum and necked it up, then applied to their loads, they are achieving 2800-2900 ft per second, that is almost exactly 950 yards per second, and that took a second to hit the target.

no you wouldnt kill something at 900 yards because thats the real reason i think its pussy,killing something that has no idea youre going to end its life,it(to me)is more respectful to the animal if you have to fight to take the animal down.
