well it is hard to say if Agnes actually existed because it was 1912 when the thing happened and, secondly, the surname of the girl is Americanized as is Ed's surname so it is impossible to say what would be Agnes Skuffs surname in Latvian
Another version says that he simply emigrated to the USA for the same reason many Latvians fled Latvia at that time... Latvia was the part of Russia at that time and Ed participated in 1905 revolution against Russians so he emigrated to escape repressions

This man single handed by himself really did build this place no aliens helped him he know a lost art. now its gone forever. only God knows. The pyramids to where built by very very smart people who knew a lost art of moving massive stones. today we could figure out how to do it but everything today is modern. back then they used only what they had and got the most out of it. I wish i lived back then.
