Yeah, and take away his millions, his status as LEGEND, the THIRTY or so albums that he's recorded with 8 different bands, the passport stamps from 25+ countries he's toured in, and he's... still better than YOU.

George is probably a millionaire, he's seen the world, he's idolized by tens of thousands of guitarists all over the planet, he's been featured in guitar magazines, he's sold more records than you have hairs on your body, and he's probably had more girls than all the men in your whole family combined. George wins, you lose.

Since I am everyone's favorite man to hate here, I might as well add that his vibrato is extremely lame. He bends quickly, hangs on a note, or adds a pitch harmonic to disguise it. When he needs that shake, he uses the wammy. His wammy is not necessary because they are all bends a decent player can make without it. Take away his "tricks" and he is no better than ordinary.

As a guitarist, and absolutely no arrogance intended, I am fine with my playing over his. I am not the worlds biggest fan of myself and always try to get better but I play licks and phrases cleaner than Lynch and they actually head somewhere. Lynch wastes too much time cramming notes, and that is not impressive. His feel is rather lacking. I cannot stress that enough from watching this, seeing him twice, and knowing people who have worked with him. Like I said, he owes his career to Dokken.

Are you kidding me? Eddie plays shred licks constantly, his speed, clarity and hammering is pretty much at the highest level. Just because Eddie plays majory stuff doesn't mean he's not a shredder. If your point is that he is not a shredder because he is tasteful then I can agree. He shreds when he needs to but doesn't mince many notes like mr. Lynch.

George lynch is amazing I know van halen is more popular but i prefer lynchs playing better I like Mr.scary song from dokken and his solo on the song breaking the chains by dokken.

Alright. Name one person who plays just like Lynch? I don't mean similar...I mean just like him. Have you (as a guitarist) ever tried to reproduce the phrasing and harmonics this guy stabs into his music? I'm here to tell you that it is FUCKING HARD to reproduce what George Lynch plays and make it sound anywhere NEAR as good. Sure, note for note, acurate scale reproduction...blah, blah, blah. Try to make it FEEL like he makes it feel...not fucking easy.
