Im from Dublin and my dad moved over there in 2003 and i visited that year too but in the summer... i am dying to go over for a winter.. but am i in for a rude awakening with all that snow? we dont get any! i loved anchorage when i was there am even thinking of doing my masters degree in UAA!

Anchorage is changing DRASTICALLY now! i think for the good, but there are still those who would rather it stay as the 'wild'. but Alaska is SOO big. can't modernity hit a spot of AK? i love Anchorage the longer i stay here! it only gets bigger, and better here!

canadians007. Hate to break it to ya,I lived in the Anchorage area for 20 yrs, but have traveled throughout most of "real Alaska"! Anchorage isn't "real Alaska"! Real Alaska is about a half an hour drive from Anchorage1 Simple! Do some research on Alaska! You might learn something!
