Capitalism is just as bad as socialism, but they are just symptoms of the real disease, so there's no point in arguing about them. The real problem is the desire for money in a resource-deprived society. The advancement of technology will allow for abundant resources and the elimination of a need for money, and therefore a system of capitalism or socialism.

Money will never disappear, since its a standard "thing" with value that allows for ease of trade. It will be difficult for me to trade with you 1000 computers for 2000 bags of corn, for example, if we didn't have a standard. That is why we invented money- to make trading easier.

Well yes but my point is that of the Venus project: this is to say that when technology advances so far that resources are almost limitless (ie solar energy, geothermal) that everyone is able to have enough of what they want, and no one actually needs to pay for it. It's a dream really but feasible with the proper amount of time

I can see your point and as you say it might get easier for everyone. We have progressed far technology wise, but more complex technology requires more specialization. It will be difficult for a computer engineer to farm, lets say, since we only have a limited number of hours that we can be up in a day. Those resources also require specialized people to properly maintain them, and that requires specialization also. For example, computer farmers will require maintenance in some form by humans.

No body cares about all these posters trying to spout "I don't believe in God." You are trying to drag down other children, and would it be better for you to have a millstone tied around your neck. . . . the vindication we will see soon, you will die of some freak accident, but also you have to be tortured in hell for all eternity. Go right ahead and send yourself to hell.

Your analogy is close. The corporations born of capitalism tend to create a feudal society. In which yes, 98% of people are forced into slavery through the use of debt and rent.
