Naxals now target tribal culture to strengthen hold
BackChattisgarh,March 20 (ANI):This song once a reflected tribal culture but today it has become a medium for Naxals to reach out to the villagers.The rebels have now started to engage in tribal culture in order too win the confidence of the villagers that further strengthens their hold.Moreover, Maoists also recruit children aged between six and 12 into their children's association, called Bal Sangams, where they are trained in Maoist ideology, used as informers and taught to fight with non-lethal weapons. That apart, the rebels have targeted women too. Their cadets include a large percentage of women soldiers that use modern arms and ammunition.
