Palin's Nonsensical Answer On Domestic Energy

Back

http://thinkprogress.org/2008/09/18/palin-energy-nonsense/ TRANSCRIPT: "Oil and coal? Of course, it's a fungible commodity and they don't flag, you know, the molecules, where it's going and where it's not. But in the sense of the Congress today, they know that there are very, very hungry domestic markets that need that oil first," Palin said. "So, I believe that what Congress is going to do, also, is not to allow the export bans to such a degree that it's Americans that get stuck to holding the bag without the energy source that is produced here, pumped here. It's got to flow into our domestic markets first."

The only thing she is an expert on is dancing around the answer to a question.

She loves talking about "hungry markets" - that's her answer to everything involving energy haha

I hope they aren't flagging molecules - that would take a lot of chemists and a huge amount of time to count billions of molecules per volumetric unit! haha She's right to some degree - oil is a fungible commodity and she's somewhat right on her answer about Congress. The problem is is that this is not an answer that should come from a "energy expert," probably not even a high school student, and even though her answer is somewhat on the mark it's evidence that she is in no way an expert

My word, she used the word "fungible" correctly! That they can be substituted for one another. And here I have been writing all these negative comments about this power-hungry, self-rightious, vain, wreckless, demeaning witch who believes in rapture.

She needs a fungible load of my special white lipstick!

Once and for all, let's put her on the game show "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" and see if she can get pass the questions. This should be a prerequisite for all individuals that make decisions for the masses, especially the ones who will have access to the nuclear codes.

is fungible actually a word?
ValeofAldur (Wednesday 19th of November 2008 12:31:44 PM)
Sure it is. Not used very often in common talk sure, I first heard it back when I used to read Dilbert. 'Fungible Literally means "interchangeable in trade." Commonly used to denote products which are suitable for transmission by pipeline. Ethanol is not considered fungible in this sense, in that it would absorb any water accumulating in pockets in a pipeline.' tinyurl(dot)com/FungibleDef

Yo... learn your stuff... Nuclear is so much cleaner than coal... Environmentalists are all for nuclear; not to mention it's much more effective...

Palin is dumb like Bush.
