When you make a stand and show you're not afraid to take on governments to try and do some good you will be admired, but also sneered at by the people who haven't got the balls to do it.Read his book,he hasn't got one qualificationa and lived a very lonely childhood as his mother died when he was young and his father beat him.He's the only pop star to ever square up to Thatcher(everyone else wrote damning songs about her).
