And right after the "Kovu's Bug" scene, Nuka and Vitani rush in to tell Zira the news about Simba's cub. So... there ya have it! Any sign of family bonding on Scar's side was wiped off so they could keep the movie with a one-sidded "good and bad" point of view... which I think contradicts the whole "We Are One" thing, but anyway.... That, and I don't know what they'd do from Nuka's like "I can do that" to the start of the next scene which is Kiara, a little older and bounding out to explore. :p Taken from lionking.org. ^_^ I don't own Lion King, or it's sequals OR these cut scenes, so don't come and eat my first born, M'kay? *holds up a Kimba plushie*

i dont know if this is a good answer...or if it even ANSWERS your question... but: simba is younger than scar because scar is simba's uncle.

ok, i'm confused. Kovu and Kiara and roughly the same age, so as Simba is Kiara's father and Zira is Kovu's mother, one would assume that Zira and SImba are around the same age also. But Zira's Scar's "wife", and Simba's much younger than Scar, so that doesn'r make much sense to me.

Yes, but they're lions. It only takes them a year or two to grow up, and they have many litters of cubs in their lifetime. Though, realistically, Kovu SHOULD be bigger than Kiara, since, in order for Scar to have "chosen" him before he died, Kovu would have to have been born by the time Simba returned to the pridelands. That's at least a few months before Nala could give birth after being with Simba. A lion cub grows a lot in a few months. That plot-hole was in Bambie too. Oh, well. ^^
