You should have called it "Cygwin 101". Its not really Unix, its just Unix based. It would be like me calling Mac OsX and Linux, Unix. Also, those commands are not "Unix commands". They are commands for the "Bash Shell", so if you were using a different shell, the commands would be different. The Bash shell is usually the default shell, so it they could just as well be called Unix commands.
