I was so pissed off that what my school was doing (teaching abstinence only), that I just got up and left the class room. Sure I got a detention, but it was sure as hell worth it.

Great video! It's just horrible that abstinence only programs still exist. I find it odd that as an 8th grader, my grade hasn't been talked to yet about sex, contraception, etc. There are a great number of people I know that have had sex already. One girl moved to Oregon because she got pregnant. So sad. I think I'll ask my teachers about that. Programs, I mean. They'll probably just change the subject or ignore me, though. This is pissing me off. C'mon, California education system.

Thank you guys, abstinence is the stupidest thing ever. People who take the pledge are also just as likely to have sex before marraige as those who don't.

I know you're concerned to get the facts out there. The fact is many abstinence programs have studies showing decreases in sexual activity. The run away STD rates, out of wed lock births which results in increased poverty and more children with social problems, and abortions in the millions every year has resulted from Liberal sex education. Be real. Kids need to hear abstinence is a good thing.
