This is not true. A whole family who operated the post office perished in the bombing, among others. I live in Darwin and I've seen the monuments

The thing abou this movie is wrong, is when Austrlia was invaded by the Japanese no one died, all they did is bomb us in Darwin-Sydney

I agree, can't stand Nicole. Never could, but she did an o.k. job & she didn't totally make me cringe. Hugh was my main reason, & that wonderful little Aboriginal boy, Brandon. I love Bryan Brown, & John Jarrat, & David Wenham too. It was beautiful, had me crying, & touched me. So HOW can they say it's "Shit?!" Umm, there are plenty of scenes here that weren't in the picture, too. How'd you get these snippits?

Australia's $150 million was funded by pre-crunch private equity and looks about as well thought out as a sub-prime mortgage. No wonder the producers are plugging up the internet with "go see it" or even "it's shit" (as long as you see it). YOU are the SECURITY for the $150 MILLION. If you don't go see it, these producers WILL NEVER WORK IN THIS TOWN AGAIN. THE CHOICE IS YOURS! AUSTRALIANS!

Oops, sorry, I accidentally copied and posted the wrong message. This comment below, was in response to the critic's slating Nicole on the Letterman show about Nicoles interview with Letterman. Anyway, Congratulations on Australia, it is brilliant. Anyone who is opposed to it is right to their opinion but, take your attitude elsewhere.
