Barney Frank, however, could have admitted his July statements were inconsistent with the final fate of Fannie Mae when he said "going forward, we are improving things." But O'Reilley did not ask him about what improvements were in place and why they failed. Instead, he took a narrow-minded biased interview approach immediately accusing him of screwing people out of millions of dollars. Bob O'Reilley distorted the facts, and then BArney Frank polarized HIS position, and that's what you saw here

Not to endorse Barney Frank as Mr. Perfect, but I think it's a stretch to accuse him of lying here. Frank's role is NOT to preside over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but simply to pass appropriate regulations, which he did get done in his limited time (Jan.2007 till now) in his majority position. Congress does not manage companies and you cannot expect a Congressional leader to quickly act when his actions must win the support of 218 individuals. There's no basis to accuse Frank based on outcomes.

You're both missing the point. It's not about rich vs poor. I'd rob the rich anyday, if I could. The point, though, is that life's unfair. You can't have your cake and eat it too. The top 5% already pay over 40% of the tax revenue. That's a lot. Now, I understand the poor need some help, but giving that responsibility to the rich will have the opposite effect. You think the rich'll just bend over and let you fuck them? They have more power and influence than you.

If Obama's tax plans pass, businesses all accross the country WILL be hurt. That means lower salaries, and less jobs, seeing as how many, many people will be fired. The middle class families, on avg, will save about 1k a year under Obama's tax plan. Their salaries will be lowered by a couple thousand, and prices on everything will increase. I fail to see how this helps the middle class. It's catastrophic...and if you can't see that, you're a moron.

That destroys the whole purpose of a capitalist economy, does it not? In said economy, there will always be rich people, and poor people, and both are responsible for only themselves. The only say the gov't should have is to limit how people can get their money to minimize corruption, not to tell them how to spend it. BTW, 666, you didn't answer my question. You failed to give me examples of Bush lies that other politicians wouldn't make. You don't know why you hate him, I bet.
