According to the director, the music video for "Gantz Graf" reached a cult status in underground computer-generated imagery art circles.[citation needed] The video features an abstract object (or an agglomeration of objects) synchronized to the sounds in the music as it morphs, pulsates, shakes, and finally dissolves. The visuals contain the same amount of richness and detail as the soundtrack does, having a visual counterpart to every little sound or frequency range in the song. Alex Rutterford (who had previously created an unofficial video for the Tri Repetae track "Eutow" as part of the Channel 4 music programme Lo-Fi in 2001) claims the idea for the "Gantz Graf" video came during one of his LSD trips

I interviewed Alex Rutterford up in a London cafe about this video, he's a great bloke. He said that virtually nothing in this video was animated, just frame by frame animation - awesome! Any questions that I might know about this vid from Alex's words I'll try to answer.

the more i listen to it.. the more i realise this track is very simple indeed and downright logical. these guys are really fucking smart with some very high IQ to be able to produce stuff like that. the very idea of trying to depict sound in visuals for instance. you can listen to gantz graf (and not only) tens of times, and there are still new sounds, and structes you ommited. god bless autechre :)

what i meant that the message is very simple. the form is highly complex. try to comprehend all these layer and twisted beats, you;ll see how simple it is. :)

my very favourite bit is between about 0:55 and 1:05 where it stretches out then boom and that ring zooms out from it and then that spinny stuff is happening, so cool X)
