DEMON by Eoin Ryan

Back

This is a film produced using rotoscoping like my previous short Teddy, only I used a combination of live action and CGI and traced then on Wacom Cintiq Screen Tablet which was a lot handier than doing it the old fashioned way - still took forever though..

Oh -- oh how sad! I feel so bad for the poor demon, hurting his only friend like that. This is beautiful, though. Amazing animation.

Im stunned :D this is too good! Just a little wondering, how long did it take for you to draw only one of the pictures to the animation? Sure it depends on what scene we are talking about ^^ But did you count what it took in general to draw one picture? :P Would be intresting to know :) Thanks for a great movie!

Thanks, it's hard to say, as I'd often do one element from a sequence of frames, such as all the hands and then all the noses, and each requires different considerations etc. Rough speaking anywhere from 30secs a frame to 5 minutes to 20 minutes depending on the complexity.. it was an insane amount of work..
