Don't complain about Meg's drumming being too simple in the songs. For this band, the drum is used to set pace and stay in the background. The musical core is Jack's guitar and singing and they shouldn't be overpowered by complicated drumming.
For the same reason, rappers don't use complex music. Again the music sets the pace as a background to the lyrics, which in good rap songs are very complex.
You can criticize music as bad is if EVERY PART is simple. Example: Soulja Boy, Nickleback.

I cant believe how passionate and heated some people get about things like these and whether someone is a good drummer, or guitarist etc... Quite frankly I think its an amazing performance.

Great performance, don't you all think? Wait what, the drummer stinks? The music is to simple? Well then I have no choice but to agree with your vastly superior intellects. I didn't understand that music should be analyzed down to what sound YOU want it to be, not taken for what it is. good or bad.
